Boise Rodent Shield Call (208) 944-6038

Owned by a Landlord. Run by a Man Who Wrote the Ordinances.

Boise Rodent Shield exists for one reason: when Boise made property owners responsible for rodent compliance, the people best positioned to protect owners were the ones who understand both sides of that letter — owning rentals, and writing the rules cities enforce. The owner of this business has done both.

Both sides of the counter

The owner is an Idaho landlord. He owns rental property himself, in his own name, and he knows exactly what an owner asks when a city letter arrives — because he has been the owner asking it.

Before that, he spent four years as the Planning & Zoning Administrator for Camas County, Idaho — administering land-use rules and writing county ordinances himself. He has sat on the government's side of the counter. He knows how enforcement thinks, what a compliance file needs to show, and why a dated record of inspections and paid work is the difference between a short conversation and an expensive one.

That combination is the business. Plenty of companies can seal a vent. Very few can tell you, from experience on both sides, what the sealed vent needs to prove — and build the file that proves it.

The position, in his words

"This isn't just making money from rats. It's protecting people from the government."

The rats are the visible problem. The ordinance, the enforcement letter, the abate-and-bill invoice, and the public record are the expensive ones. This program is built against all four — and the file it keeps on every property is the proof.

Part of a small local network

Rodent work splits into trades, and each has its own specialist here. Boise Rodent Proofing does the sealing and compliance work for homeowners. Treasure Valley Rat Control handles trapping and removal for active infestations. Boise Rodent Shield is the third piece: the standing, documented protection program for the people who manage rental properties across the Treasure Valley.
